Lyon president Aulas: Fekir could go to Liverpool - or another club

Olympique Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas has declared talks with Liverpool over the sale of Nabil Fekir could now reopen.

Liverpool pulled out of a €60m deal before the World Cup over long-term injury concerns for Fekir.

But Aulas now says: "It seems to me that Liverpool could come back to the table... That's what I saw in the press, but I'm not informed.

"His transfer failed in June, but he is not affected. He is quite fatalistic, focused on his World Cup, and he still has the heart in Lyon. We discussed his brother Yassin, who signed pro. Nabil is much closer to Lyon today than he was when we talked to Liverpool.

"Maybe he will go to Liverpool, or to another club, but if he stays at OL, it will be a great year for him and for us."

Aulas also talked up the prospect of Fekir moving to Manchester United a fortnight ago.
