Lyon plotting sensational return of Man Utd striker Martial

Olympique Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is eyeing a shock return for Anthony Martial.

France Football is reporting that the Lyon chief is considering whether or not to make a move for the Manchester United striker this summer.

Lyon sold Martial to AS Monaco in 2013 for budgetary reasons and it is understood that Les Gones want him back next season.

However, the fee United paid Monaco in the summer of 2015, which could eventually rise to £58million, suggests a permanent transfer is out of the question for Lyon.

United and Lyon share a strong relationship after successful dealings regarding Memphis Depay's transfer in January but any move for Martial would have to be made with the blessing of Jose Mourinho who is reportedly yet undecided with what he wants to do with the 21-year-old.
