Recent reports suggest that French club Lyon are set to offer Argentine striker Lisandro Lopez to Liverpool.

The 27-year old former Porto star has continued his prolific scoring form in the French Ligue 1 this term and Lyon are believed to be keen to cash in.

With Liverpool determined to strengthen their striking stocks, it seems a good option to bring in Lopez but their new owners are reluctant to spend up in January meaning Lyon may not get their wish.

Lopez's agent, Fernando Hidalgo, admitted that his client was happy at the Stade de Gerland but was open to offers if they happened to arise.

"He is happy in Lyon but a big offer could change that," Hidalgo confirmed.
