Olympique Lyon have offered rebel striker Fred to Napoli.

The Brazil international has butted heads with management in the last week and his agents have already issued a media release declaring the player is ready to leave Lyon before the market shuts on August 31.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is desperate to deliver fans a big-name striker signing for their return to Serie A and can sign Fred for £7 million, says Corriere dello Sport. De Laurentiis will have to cough up big, however, to cover Fred's wage demands - believed to be £1.5 million-a-year.
