Olympique Lyon have confirmed a bid from Arsenal for Alexandre Lacazette.
The French side issued a statement on Twitter outlining the fact that the bid was immediately knocked back - and was short of the €48million bid that had been reported in the French press this morning.
The statement reads:
"Lyon categorically deny having received a €48m offer from Arsenal for Alexandre Lacazette as Le Proges reported this morning.
"The reality is that Arsenal made an offer of €35million which Lyon refused for one simple reason - l'O.L. will keep Alexandre Lacazette who is irreplaceable and one of the leaders in the squad."
