Olympique Lyon are expecting an approach from Newcastle United today for Bafetimbi Gomis.
After being beaten by QPR for Marseille striker Loic Remy, Newcastle are expected to turn their attentions to Gomis.
The France international, 27, is rated at €10 million by OL president Jean-Michel Aulas, who plans to sell two major players this month to balance the books.
