Olympique Lyon are demanding Juventus make a serious offer for Michel Bastos.
This week Brazilian left-back Bastos confirmed he wanted "a change of scenery" and was looking forward to joining Juve.
"This story has been dragging on for a while," Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas told Tuttosport.
"Last summer we were not prepared to release him, but things have changed and we want to make the player happy.
"A while ago agent Oscar Damiani spoke to one of our directors to confirm Juventus were still interested.
"Since then, we have been waiting for them to make an official move. It hasn't happened yet. It's up to their director general Giuseppe Marotta to call and certainly not up to us.
"Once the season is over, we cannot drag the matter on for long, so Bastos could well stay."
