Lyon defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is saddened by the Ligue 1 departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic moved to Manchester United last month on a free transfer from PSG.

“I'll miss him, but he'll also be a loss to the league because his presence made people abroad talk about it," Yanga-Mbiwa told French website FootMercato.

"He's gone now. It's a pity… I'll have to find someone else to fight with on the pitch.

“No, I'm joking, but he's a great player who made a strong impression in France."
