Drogba's future at Stamford Bridge is shrouded in doubt following his inflammatory comments last week, as he stated he wanted to move on from The Blues.

The Ivorian forward has stated he would like to play in Spain or Italy, but Aulas claims a return to France for the former Marseille man is possible.

"Everything is possible in football," Aulas told Le Parisien.

"Didier Drogba is an exceptional player who loves France.

"We had an asset [to make him come] here, Florent Malouda who was playing for us.

"Unfortunately he moved to Chelsea. If we have to sign both, it can be too much for us."
