Arsenal and Sunderland target Marouane Chamakh is attracting interest from Lyon.

The Bordeaux striker is keen to leave France and would love to move to Arsenal but Lyon have chimed in with an offer to try and lure him across the country.

"When I see that Chamakh wishes to leave, but that people would authorise a departure to England but perhaps not France, it is regrettable," Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said of the Moroccan.

"Because we would be ready to welcome him with open arms."
