Lyon captain Nabil Fekir admits he had something to prove in last night's Champions League win at Manchester City.
The Frenchman was on his way to Anfield in a £53m deal this summer before Liverpool pulled the plug following concerns over his medical.
Unsurprisingly after the clash, he was asked if he had a point to prove after his failed move to Anfield.
"I want to prove I'm a good player but the most important thing is the group," he told Viasport.
"We are very happy to win here. It is not an easy game and City are a very good team."
Maxwell Cornet opened the scoring for Lyon before Fekir's strike and although Bernardo Silva got one back, the Ligue 1 side held on to the win.
