Lyon boss Garde wants swift resolution with Swansea, Cardiff target Gomis

Lyon manager Remi Garde is hoping the club can quickly resolve its issue with Bafetimbi Gomis.

The 27-year old French striker, who has been linked with both Swansea City and Cardiff City, is not a part of Lyon's preseason training camp in Tignes following a disagreement with club officials but Garde wants to have that solved as soon as possible.

"It is not a pleasant situation. I hope there will be a satisfactory outcome for both parties," said Garde.

"There are significant economic imperatives for the club and we cannot go against these constraints.

"There is no desire to disrespect Bafe. My wish is really a solution is found.

"The decision to (leave) Bafe (in) Lyon was taken in consultation with the president. After that, can he stay? You know everything can go very quickly in football."

It is believed that Lyon are keen to sell the £12million-rated Gomis but he wants to remain at the Stade de Gerland. The club have blamed him for forcing the sale of youngster Anthony Martial to Monaco because he refused to accept a transfer offer.
