Olympique Lyon are willing to offer £8 million for Arsenal striker Eduardo.

The Champions League semi-finalists want to make an ambitious bid for the Arsenal striker in an effort to reclaim the Ligue 1 title from Bordeaux, says the News of the World.

The Croatian striker, 27, has not shown his best form for Arsenal since arriving from Dinamo Zagreb for £7.5m in the summer of 2007.

Eduardo signed a new long-term contract last November which could keep him at the club until 2014, but they know he will attract a cash bid of around £8m.
