Olympique Lyon captain Nabil Fekir is being urged not to panic over his failed move to Liverpool.
French pundit Gilles Favard says Fekir should stay and wait for the offers to return next summer.
He told L'Equipe: "He had to go to Liverpool, they made other choices. It is necessary to pay €60m to have him. Now, what's left in the market?
"The English close on the 9th, and the Italians on the 18th. If tomorrow he gets a salary increase, he will play in the Champions League, he will be in the championship of France which will still be attractive.
"If he makes a very good season, the offers will come back next year. He will not have wasted his time. I understand that he wanted to go to Liverpool. But if he's to go to Sevilla or Valencia, it's no better than Lyon. They will strengthen themselves, they will have a competitive team, it is not a punishment."
