Olympique Lyon ace Karim Benzema has again declared his wish to play for Real Madrid.

The French star said: "My dream is to play for Real Madrid and I think it is a goal that may be close.

"I like the shirt of Madrid, the stadium and the atmosphere that is breathed there.

"I told my mother that one day I'll play for Real Madrid and I want it to become a reality."

However, Real's deal for Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has cooled talk of a move to Madrid for Benzema.
