LYON: French club Lyon have grabbed a late equalizer to deny Israel's Hapoel Tel Aviv maximum points in the final Group B match in the Champions League.
Lisandro Lopez finally edged the home side in front in the 61st minute from 12 yards after Hapeol's Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama kept his side in proceedings with a string of top-class saves but parity was soon restored when Ben Sahar leveled in similar fashion to Lopez less than a minute later.
Eran Zahavi then put the visitors ahead in the 68th minute when he finished a Salim Toama cross but Hapeol were cruelly denied a win which would have put them into the Europa League when Alexandre Lacazette slotted home with two minutes left to force a 2-2 draw.
The point allowed Lyon to stitch up second place behind FC Schalke as Hapoel were consigned to the bottom behind Benfica.
