Charlton Athletic boss Guy Luzon has labelled Johann Berg Gudmundsson as his side's 'David Beckham'.
The Iceland midfielder scored a fantastic free-kick in a comfortable 3-0 victory over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road and was dubbed by Luzon as the Addicks answer to former Manchester United and England star Beckham.
"When we have set pieces Gudmundsson is like our Beckham," said Luzon. "He knows how to score goals in this situation. He is a good player with a good mentality.
"We are happy he belongs to our team. We knew before the match you can't play possession on the ground because the pitch is very bad. We focused on the long ball and on the second ball."
