Luzern's Bozanic wants Champions League and World Cup action

Oliver Bozanic is targeting both the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA World Cup this year.

The 24-year old Australian midfielder is impressing win his first season with Swiss club FC Luzern who are currently placed four points behind league leaders FC Basel.

Former Reading and Central Coast Mariners man Bozanic, who has scored five goals in 16 league outings for Luzern, is hoping he can push die Leuchten into the top two so they can compete in Europe's premier club competition next season.

"We're in the top four at the moment, but we're not far away from second and first place. It's very tight," he told au.fourfourtwo.com.

"It would be a massive achievement to qualify for Europe obviously from last season when the club finished eighth out of ten. But at the moment it's just taking it one game at a time. We go into every game winning, we don't go up against the so-called games to lose. We don't need to look too far ahead to get back on track."

Bozanic, who made his debut for the Socceroos in October last year, was also striving to force his way into Ange Postecoglou's squad for Brazil 2014.

"I've been very happy to part of the Socceroos for the last two camps and I hope to get another opportunity in March (against Ecuador)," Bozanic added.

"It was always my dream to play for the Socceroos. Every time you put on the shirt it's a massive honour and I hope to do that many more times."
