Liverpool striker Samed Yesil has stated his ambition of wanting to impress manager Jurgen Klopp.

Although considered very talented, Yesil has struggled to break into the Liverpool first team since joining the club back in 2012 and the striker is currently out on loan at Swiss side Luzern.

Nonetheless, Yesil has not given up on his hope of playing for the Reds first team on a regular basis and has now expressed his desire to show Klopp what he is capable of with Luzern.

Yesil told Bild: "When I heard that he was coach I thought 'oh how cool'. He is known to rely on young players. I prefer to speak with goals than to send him Christmas cards. We'll talk to each other when the time comes.

"I know my quality and trust myself, I'll push through there (Liverpool). But for now it is about collecting match practice with Luzern."
