Peguy Luyindula could make his New York Red Bull debut this weekend after having his US working visa approved.
The former Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon striker signed with the Red Bulls during the week and could swiftly make his debut in place of the injured Thierry Henry against league leaders Montreal Impact on Saturday.
"Very happy and surprised how fast it went," Red Bulls head coach Mike Petke told reporters after Thursday's training session.
"It's good that he's back. We have to re-evaluate his fitness level after pretty much sitting in Europe for two, three days, but he looked good today in training, he looked sharp, so he's definitely an option for us."
