Luton youth chief: Ability of new Chelsea trio simply stands out

Luton Town youth development chief Gregg Broughton says there's no doubting the talent of the Dasilvas brothers.

Jay Dasilva, 13, and his brothers, 12- year-old twins Cole and Rio, signed for Chelsea this week.

Broughton told the Daily Mail: "Their ability stands out from the rest of the players, that was clear from the moment they signed at the age of seven.

"They were unique for their age because they had excellent technical ability, could play with both feet and could receive the ball under pressure."

Luton could not keep their talent a secret, showcasing the DaSilvas during a prestigious tournament involving Manchester United, Bayern Munich and an Ivory Coast international team in Switzerland three years ago.

"Those boys got us to the final and we beat Bayern Munich in the final, which obviously surprised a lot of people," said Broughton.

"The parents should be very proud of their achievements so far. They are well behaved, disciplined and focused young players. Their attitude is exceptional and the family have always been very supportive towards their sons.

"Jay is head boy at his middle school, for example. They always made sure they were available for training and matches, which is tough when you have four boys to support."
