Fiorentina striker Arturo Lupoli hopes to be joined in Florence by his former Arsenal teammate Freddie Ljungberg.

A delegation from Fiorentina are in London for talks with Arsenal over a deal for the Swede and Lupoli says: "He's a great player and indeed has made history with Arsenal.

"At his best, he helped the Gunners win more than one Premiership title, the FA Cup and other trophies."
