Luka Modric has hit out at the lack of support he's received at Tottenham.
Modric, 23, came on at half-time in the 2-0 UEFA Cup loss at Udinese on Thursday but struggled to make an impact.
And he insists he did not expect to be part of a relegation scrap when he arrived from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer.
Tottenham face a must-win clash against Bolton - but Modric's views will only add to the White Hart Lane gloom.
He said: "I did my best at Udinese but I was all alone in the middle. I couldn't do more.
"This is not the situation I expected when I joined but I can't do anything. I am just waiting for my chance.
"Of course I was disappointed to start on the bench but I respect the coach's decision."
