Luka Modric has handed Real Madrid an injury headache.
The Croatia midfielder was forced off before halftime in last night's 1-1 draw at Euro qualifying opponents Italy.
Modric appeared to have suffered a groin strain, in the 26th minute, after jostling for the ball with an Italian player in the middle of the pitch.
After briefly showing clear signs of pain, he forced himself to try to stop an Italian counter-attack, but he pulled up and then lay on the pitch.
