Former PSG coach Luis Fernandez has revealed he was sounded out by Bolton Wanderers last season.

"Bolton are about trying to avoid the drop from the English league," Fernandez told Luis contre-attaque.

"Managing in England would be huge, but Bolton! I am fed up with being considered a fireman - signed to save teams.

"Look, I received a text message [from Bolton] - they wanted my CV. Reuniting with Anelka would have been fun, wouldn't it?"
