Luis Fabiano: Sevilla on way back

Luis Fabiano insists Sevilla are on the way back after their superb Champions League victory midweek against Slavia Prague.

"The Champions League is a difficult competition but there is the quality here to go far," said the Brazilian, who netted the opening goal against Slavia.

"To be first in the group is very important and we will try to continue as we have been doing."

The likes of Liverpool, Lyon and Roma are all potential opponents for Sevilla in the last 16, but Luis Fabiano insists he does not prefer to face one side over any other.

"There is no favourite, all the teams are dangerous. There are no preferences but if we do our work well we can win and continue moving forward," he added.

Luis Fabiano's strike partner Fredi Kanoute does have a preference though, saying: "Personally I would like to face Lyon, because it is my club and I would like to play against them."

The Mali international, who played for Lyon earlier in his career, was pleased with how Wednesday's match in the Czech Republic went, as it meant they stayed two points clear of Arsenal in the pool.

"We have played a very serious game and we are very happy because we are going to face an opponent a little less tough than if we finished second," he said on his club's website.
