Luis Enrique will not change his style at Barcelona

New Barcelona boss Luis Enrique says he won't be adjusting his methods.

Enrique arrived after a successful spell with Celta Vigo.

"We are going to do it my way, no doubt about that, because otherwise the club would have employed a different coach. I am not going to do what everyone else might tell me," Luis Enrique told Barca TV.

"The famous scaffolding came from me wanting to watch training from a position high up, so that I could control the players and the spaces between the lines and I could also record the session," the 44-year-old explained. "I understand that there are lots of methods, but I see this makes the news in Spain and the joke is that you are climbing scaffolding when the normal thing is quite different.

"But what you are really doing is carefully assessing a tactical idea, which is vital in football. You see the distance between the lines and where your players are, and when you are at ground level you cannot see this. But I'm not bothered about what they say. I'm going to do what I think I have got to do and everything will be for the benefit of the club, and we'll look to improve the team. Results will tell the tale of whether I got it right or whether I'm crazy."
