Barcelona coach Luis Enrique endured a spiky pre-match media conference yesterday.
Enrique took on the press over reports of tension with his players and staff.
"There are so many things that come out which are the product of bad faith, others that aren't, we'd need to confirm or deny everything. It's a dangerous game, I don't like it.
"It's not about being supported. It's about doing your job.
"Managing a dressing room is about managing egos, that's what I'm doing.
"Everyone supports Messi and Barça. Now I'm the coach I want [the fans] to support the team all the time.
"We'll have tension all season. If we win La Liga maybe some will relax then."
Enrique also scoffed: "There's no point looking at statistics from past seasons. You can win La Liga with 90 points or end up third with the same number. What is all the fuss about? You [the journalists] have the solution. I knew what being coach of Barça was about. Nothing will take my mind off the task. I look inside the club and what I see motivates me and makes me happy."
