Ivan Rakitic's header was enough as Barcelona won 1-0 at Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
The Catalan giants are still without the talents of Neymar and Andres Iniesta, but still had enough quality to resist strong opposition from Athletic at San Mames.
It was not as spectacular as the opening 6-2 success over Real Betis at the Nou Camp, but Lionel Messi and company were a constant menace on the break. Luis Suarez almost scored a second in deep in added time, but he was denied by a goal-line clearance from Eneko Boveda.
"I'm happy with the result against a team of this magnitude and it's a result that has strengthened us," Enrique said.
"Our start to the season has been similar to the end of the last campaign, with everyone hooked on the drama and wanting to set the pace to keep us top [of the league].
"There were too many mistakes at the beginning, I don't know whether that was because of us or the success of Athletic.
"Although I would have preferred to have more control in the attacking areas, we were very successful and focused to achieve a great physical effort."
