Luis Angel Landin is reportedly in Texas to sign a contract with MLS club Houston Dynamo.
The 24-year old Mexico international is currently contracted to La Primera Division club Cruz Azul but is on the verge of joining the Dynamo.
The Dynamo were keen on Landin about nine months ago and it now seems likely that Dom Kinnear will get his man although the club was non-committal when asked about the move.
"The team is in no position to comment at all on this circumstance at the moment," Dynamo chief operating officer Chris Canetti said.
Landin has also played for Mexican clubs Morelia and Pachuca.
