Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira admits they were delighted with victory at Europa League opponents Sporting CP last night.

Danny Welbeck struck late for the 1-0 win.

Torreira stated: "We are super happy, we knew it was going to be complicated, Sporting have a very good team, it was important to continue winning, it is the 11th consecutive victory, we have to continue to improve."

Torreira also laughed off the physical play of Uruguay teammate Sebastian Coates, who headbutted Stephan Lichtsteiner.

"Coates? They are situations in the game ... I greeted him after the game. He is a great player who is doing a lot here for Sporting."
