Lucas Leiva admits sharing the same first language has helped his midfield partnership with Liverpool teammate Raul Meireles.
The duo have earned rave reviews for their performances in the centre of the park over recent weeks and the Brazilian reckons their form is down to their compatibility both on and off the pitch.
"We've clicked really well, and become great friends," Lucas told liverpoolfc.tv.
"It turns out we complement each other. He's a more attacking player but I never feel like I'm left all alone in the centre of the park. The fact that we share a similar culture (and language) is a big help too."
