Lucas Neill's academy joins forces with Asian development program

The Lucas Neill-supported academy, Mr Soccer, has entered a partnership with a development program in Asia.

Launched in Marrickville, New South Wales last Friday, the project started by former Socceroo Mark Robertson and backed by current skipper Neill, has linked up with the Asian Football Development Project and will be 'based on promoting the fun, friendly exercise and skills side of football.'

"Since Mr Soccer was established in 2008, we've enjoyed delivering quality coaching to boys and girls of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and beliefs," Robertson said.

"I'm very proud and excited to be aligning with the AFDP, which is a project that I'm passionate about as we both share a commitment to not only giving children a chance, but also a positive and enjoyable experience via unique football programs."

Neill added: "We hope this partnership will be the vehicle that allows our football programs to make an even bigger impact on the youth across Australia and Asia."
