Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is eager to see Kenny Dalglish handed a long-term deal.
Lucas, who recently signed a new contract at Anfield, believes Dalglish deserves the job for the work he has done so far during his second spell at the helm.
"We still have a lot to do and to improve," Lucas told the Daily Star Sunday. "But the way Kenny is doing it, I think he deserves to get the job.
"We can all see he knows a lot about football and that everything he does is aimed at helping his staff and the players."
