Lucas Leiva is confident of keeping his place in the Liverpool team, no matter who they buy in the summer.
Kop caretaker Kenny Dalglish has Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing, Ashley Young and Mamadou Sakho on his hitlist.
Yet Lucas, who recently extended his Reds' contract to 2015, is convinced he can line up alongside the new faces, rather than find himself on the bench.
He said: "I don't think I would have signed a new contract if the club did not have a plan for me.
"A lot of players have come already and I'm still playing, so that means the club believe in my qualities.
"Last season I played 46 games but this year I'm trying to take more responsibility and show my real quality."
