Luca Marrone admits he wanted to leave Juventus in the summer.

The 21-year-old midfielder was expecting to be loaned out again, but the Coach, who worked with him at Siena last season, insisted he remain in Turin.

"I thought I'd be back at Siena," the Italian Under-21 international told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"However, Conte wanted me to stay at Juventus. I was happy to, as I know that you have to earn your place in his teams.

"I hope to get my chance, but it will be difficult as there are five players in the middle but only two places on offer.

"And the four ahead of me are all champions…"
