LuaLua hopes he's caught eye of Newcastle boss Keegan

Kazenga LuaLua hopes he's caught the eye of Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan after scoring in this week's Northumberland Senior Cup victory over Blyth Spartans.

The teenage attacker told the Evening Chronicle: "It was a really important time in the game to score. Everybody in the dressing room is just really happy that we've won the trophy.

"Sads (Adam Sadler) told me to keep working hard and show what I can do on the pitch.

"That way the manager can see you from the stands and see what you are about.

"All I need to do is keep working hard."

Toon coach Adam Sadler added: "He can score from anywhere, but as soon as that one left his foot I knew it was only going to one place.

"Make no mistake, it was the goal of the season."
