Lowton screamer impresses Villa pal Holman

Brett Holman hailed Matt Lowton's wonder goal in Aston Villa's victory over Swansea City.

The Australian midfielder was amazed to see his fellow newcomer volley Villa in front against the Swans with his weaker left foot.

"I have been away for 10 days with Australia - I don't know what they've been feeding him!" Holman, who edged out Lowton to win Villa's man of the match award, told the Birmingham Mail.

"Fair play to him, what a great goal that was.

"It was tremendous and we needed it, so that inspires the team.

"The technique was exceptional. It's one of those things where you've got to try it on the day.

"It inspires other players to try things and have a go. It was fantastic."
