Matt Lowton is happy to see Grant Holt get off the mark for Aston Villa.

The on-loan Wigan Athletic striker struck in defeat to Fulham.

"I thought Grant was terrific up against two big centre-backs," Lowton told Villa's website. "He was fantastic. He put himself about all day and the hard work paid off for the goal.

"I'm made up for him. With his attitude and his work-rate, that's what happens."
