Lowry hoping Millwall can catch Wigan off guard in FA Cup semi

Shane Lowry is targeting victory as Millwall prepare for their FA Cup semi-final with Wigan Athletic this weekend.

The 23-year old Australian defender and his Lions teammates meet the Latics at Wembley on Saturday and Lowry hopes they can perhaps catch Roberto Martinez's men off guard whilst they worry about Premier League survival.

"They might have an eye on staying in the Premier League, so we might be able to catch them off guard," Lowry told AAP.

"It's a one-off game, so anything's possible."

And Lowry, who left Aston Villa to join Millwall permanently in January 2012, also feels it is a great opportunity for him to put his best foot forward for a possible Australian national team berth.

"Games like these are shown worldwide so hopefully it might get me some recognition," he said.

"I am definitely ambitious and I want to play for Australia.

"Hopefully people will be watching but if not I'll just keep going and hopefully in the future I can be part of it."
