Rupert Lowe has dismissed rumours that he has lined up Glenn Hoddle as Southampton boss when he makes his own anticipated return to the club.
Lowe and fellow former Saints chairman Michael Wilde are expected to return to the St Mary's boardroom over the next few weeks after calling an EGM for the removal of most of the current regime.
Hoddle's name has once again been linked with the Saints job, which he held for 14 months under Lowe before joining Tottenham in 2001.
But Lowe told the Southern Daily Echo: "I don't know where that came from. It certainly hasn't come from me.
"It is like all these things in football, people just seem to make things up so I have no comment on that."
