Germany coach Joachim Low was delighted with matchwinner Per Mertesacker after victory over England.

The Arsenal defender headed home the only goal of the game in the 39th minute.

"Per definitely organised our defence and has been a pillar of strength. He's known for his stability and his positioning and he's made a step forward since moving to Arsenal," said Low.
