Voronin left Melwood with his heavily pregnant girlfriend - unabashed by the interest in Fernando Torres.

The Ukrainian striker is relishing the chance to prove himself in the Premiership after being snapped up by the Reds on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen.

The 27-year-old, who scored 10 goals in 37 games last season, said: "I haven't made this decision to just sit on the bench. I will be coming to get into the team and form a partnership with someone."
