Low invited to extend his contract as Germany's manager

Low has done an impressive job as Germany coach since replace Jurgen Klinsmann after the 2006 World Cup.

Speaking after Germany reached the final of Euro 2008 on Wednesday, Zwanziger admitted Low just needs to express his interest in a new deal.

"He can come to us whenever he wants - in 2009 or 2010 - and we will sit down together," he said.

"We have to make the environment for his work even better. There are new tasks ahead including the World Cup qualification against Russia."

Zwanziger described Low as a "great trainer", but added that another coach could fill his shoes after 2010 if necessary.

"Our system is not necessarily dependent on one person," he said.
