Dejan Lovren has talked up the importance of Brazilian duo Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino to Liverpool's ambitions.

Liverpool strengthened their position in the top four by claiming hard-fought victories over Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion in recent weeks and the star attacking duo of Coutinho and Firmino have been crucial to the Reds' success over the past few games as well as during the season so far.

Defender Lovren has now gone on to hail both Coutinho and Firmino as 'amazing' and stated that the two Brazilians are key to Liverpool's hopes of finishing in one of the Champions League positions this term.

The Croatian toldPremier League Productions: "These two amazing guys, these two special players mean a lot for us.

"Hopefully they will stay fit until the end of the season.

"We are missing many players, but they showed again in the second half against Stoke that they can change the game whenever they want.

"Sometimes you need that. Top teams like us sometimes depend on our big players, [but] it's not just on them - the responsibility is for everyone to do our job."
