Goran Lovre and Championship club Barnsley have parted ways by mutual consent.
The 29-year old Serbian midfielder has agreed to depart Oakwell despite the fact his contract expires at the end of the season.
Lovre joined Barnsley from Dutch club FC Groningen and made 23 appearances last term but has failed to impress this campaign and has now left the club.
"Barnsley Football Club can confirm that midfielder Goran Lovre has today left the club by mutual consent," read a statement on the club's official website.
"Barnsley Football Club would like to wish Goran the best of luck with his future career."
