Miguel Angel Lotina is delighted with his new one-year deal at Deportivo La Coruna.
The 62-year-old's previous deal was set to expire on June 30 following his arrival at the Riazor in 2007.
Depor have made steady progress under the former Osasuna and Espanyol coach, finishing ninth in his first season in charge and seventh the following campaign and he is looking to build on his achievements with the club.
"It's a great pressure and responsibility to train Depor," he said. "And we are full of desire to continue improving.
"We want to create a better squad next season.
"They're going to make a few signings but they must be big names and if there is a sale, someone even better must be brought in."
