England and LA Galaxy star David Beckham has been slaughtered by the Los Angeles Times.

Under the headline: 'So much for Beckham being a voice for Major League Soccer', columnist TJ Simers wrote: "The only thing going on with him these days appears to be his underwear ad.

"Which is just perfect, because all he has to do is lie there and say nothing. He has done nothing to advance the sport."
