Los Angeles coach Arena blames surface and fixture congestion for draw

Bruce Arena has blamed the surface and fatigue as LA Galaxy drew with Seattle.

"This was our third game in like eight days, with two on the road, so we were a little fatigued today for sure," said Arena after Los Angeles drew in a 1-1 tie with Seattle Sounders FC at Qwest Field.

"We haven't lost a game since the second game of the season. The problem is we haven't won a lot."

Los Angeles had a man advantage after the 57th minute, following Seattle's James Riley being sent off.

"This is tough playing here on this surface, which no one likes," Arena continued.

"Having said that, for this kind of surface, it's a good surface. It's a big home-field advantage. And, obviously, there's the great support here. We get a point and it's a point."
