Lorient defender Lamine Gassama admits he's turned down a move to Sunderland.
Off contract in June, Gassama admits he "dreams" of playing in England, but is unsure about moving to struggling Sunderland.
"For now it is off," he told L'Equipe. "For me it would be difficult to go to Sunderland without guarantees, that is to say knowing they are currently nineteenth. So for me it was quite difficult to go there, even if for me it's still a dream to play in England.
"We failed to agree on a few details."
Gassama added: " For now, the only offer I got came from Sunderland last week. That remains the hottest track."
